recoveryBox, the iPhone Mobile App for Addiction Recovery

Designed for accountability, recoveryBox is an iPhone app toolset that facilitates tracking of daily life activities by easily breaking them down into your “lights”. Breaking habits requires knowing why we do what we do, when do we do it and coming up with goals to break unhealthy behaviors. recoveryBox has the tools needed to help with addiction recovery.

Be Engaged
Entering of your daily “lights” (green = good habit breaking activities, yellow = caution, this could lead to a relapse, and reds = acting out.
Entry of lights is totally customizable. Want to enter that you took your meds 4 times or just once as 1 light. You decide what works best for you by working with your counselor or group sessions to decide what exactly you need to track for accountability.
Categories and number of lights can be retained so you are not always spinning the wheel. Set it as a preference and see data entry happen even faster. Faster data entry means easy to use means that you will stick with the program.
Build your own customizable lists of comments for green lights. Always take medicine at 4:00PM, add that to your list. Comments sort by categories to even make entry quicker!
Keep track of your sobriety date. Application will help adjust dates when red lights get entered.
Add treatment goals created during counseling sessions or group therapy sessions or just personal goals.
Using any 12-Step program, record what step you are on as well as any goals and progress in journaling section.
Sort and filter treatment goals to see past goals, active goals, goals corresponding to the 12-Step program, goals by dates.

Be Accountable
Texting/emailing directly from recoveryBox with counts of daily lights and trigger information included.
Enable texts/emails to pull your comments from your light events to include in accountability communication.
Tracking of triggers and intensity levels on a daily basis and optional keeping of journal entries. Habits can only be broken if we figure out why and when we act out.
Search your lights. Many group therapists and counselor’s require clients to keep logs and tally’s or daily activities and report back. This tool allows the user to search by day, week, month or whatever date span they choose. Drill down just by the light category and begin to see patterns.
Create motivators! These are alerts to help remind you to enter your lights/triggers as well as reminders to text/email an accountability partner.
Need to break multiple addictions, no problem. Just select them from the list.
